Can we talk?
Just for a little?
I have something to tell you.
I think if we talked, you’d understand.
The world around me is quiet.
It’s so quiet I now speak in whispers.
Too timid to disturb the silence.
Too selfish to want it interrupted.
Solitude is sanctuary but,
So are you.
That’s why I want to talk.
Not about anything in particular.
I just want to hear the noise.
Enjoy the bliss of the mundane
Instead of keeping it to myself,
Only ever feeding it to the deafening
Listen to me, and you can see the truth.
Most things I keep secret for no reason at all.
