Goodbye, Endive

The only time you ever take notice is

When my legs straddle the sun.

Then you look up at me,

Light in your eyes,

Searing them so they shine like crystals.

Then you bow to me.

Howling in tongues as you

Lay prostrate before your God.

Then you come to me,

Humbly as a lecher does.

Seem I only garner your attention

When I’m straddling the sun.

But then, I am far too busy.

Birthing the Cosmos
